This Thursday, July 8, the inhabitants of the Georgino Andrade neighborhood, together with the municipal authorities, joyfully inaugurated two projects carried out in their community that benefit 11,506 protagonists.
The first project of the common good is rainwater drainage, with this work a critical point was eliminated since every time it rained the water entered at least 15 homes.
The project consists of the construction of 80 meters of gutters to convey rainwater, this was executed through the Annual Investment Plan and has an investment of 3,200,000 córdobas.
The second project is for roads and was carried out through the emblematic Calles para el Pueblo Program, where 6 new blocks of asphalt road network were built, with an investment of 4 million 207 thousand 500 córdobas.
The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda, said that these streets were previously in their natural state and with this project the neighborhood is 85 percent covered.
“With these two projects that were carried out simultaneously, the Municipality invested in the neighborhood 7 million 407 thousand 500 córdobas, in the execution of the Program Streets for the Town it has reached 60.3 percent with 501 blocks completed in the first 6 months of the year, ”said Rueda.
The protagonist of this point of the Capital, Irma Buitrago said she was grateful for this work of the common good, "we feel happy, we thank God and our Good Government for having changed our lives."
