Calles para el Pueblo reopens 5 blocks in the Batahola Sur neighborhood

In response to the demands of the population in the different district councils, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated on the afternoon of this Monday, July 5, the re-inspection of 5 blocks of streets in the Batahola Sur neighborhood of District II, through the Streets Program for the people.

1,300 families received with great joy the improvement of their streets, a work that had an investment of 1.2 million córdobas, directly benefiting 7,804 protagonists.

The ribbon cutting was carried out by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who stated that the work is the restitution of the rights of families.

"This year we have an investment of 287 million córdobas in the different modalities of road improvement of each of the neighborhoods, here in Batahola Sur we are delivering 5 blocks, it is one of the projects that families ask the most," said Rueda.

Likewise, he informed that in District II the Municipality will invest a total of 29 million cordobas, between the Annual Investment Plan and the Streets for the People Program, which has destined 12 million cordobas, for the benefit of the families that live in this area. Capital sector.

The very happy residents thanked the Good Government for improving their quality of life and helping the people with the different programs and social projects.

"We have food, vouchers for students, houses, land and before we had to rent, now we are happy with our streets," said Maria del Socorro Pérez.

Mr. Noel Salvador Bonilla, a resident of this neighborhood, also thanked God and the Sandinista Government because before their streets were deteriorated, “they were pure holes, people and vehicles could not pass, now we will no longer have that problem, there will no longer be puddles no mud and little by little the problems will be solved ”.

This week the Capital Commune begins the Streets for the People Program with an advance of 60.3 percent, which includes 501 completed blocks.
