Water and sanitation improvement project in the Batahola Sur neighborhood takes more than 50 percent

On the morning of this Wednesday, June 16, comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of Managua, visited the water and sanitation improvement project in the Batahola Sur neighborhood of District II of the Capital, which is being carried out through of the 2021 Annual Investment Plan.

The work consists of the installation and reconnection to the sanitary sewer network of 69 families that were without service during the period. To date, construction work has a positive advance of more than 50 % and has an investment of 963,119.75 córdobas.

The General Secretary of the Mayor's Office of Managua explained that the global investment is 6.5 million córdobas, benefiting 1,300 families from Batahola Sur with the 4 projects, where 16 solidarity houses have also been built in recent years.

"Once the connection work is completed, the municipality will proceed with the execution of the Streets for the People Program, added to the drainage work, thereby eliminating one of the critical points of this District II," said Moreno.

He also announced that in the next 3 weeks they hope to complete this project and make way for the Streets for the People Project.
