Residents of the B 15 neighborhood happily welcome their new streets

For more than 40 years, families from the B 15 neighborhood in District VI of the Capital waited to see their new streets, who this Monday, June 14, in the company of municipal authorities, inaugurated the 3-block asphalt, through the Streets for the People Program .

The road improvement project benefited 3,994 protagonists, divided into 665 families who from now on have better conditions to move around.

The Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, reported that the project had an investment of almost one million córdobas and in addition to these new lined streets, 6 more platforms were repainted, restoring the bearing folder that was deteriorated.

He also announced that the Municipality has been executing projects in this neighborhood since 2015 and to date has invested 7 million 436 thousand 024 córdobas in road improvement works, with hydraulic concrete and asphalt, storm drainage and the construction of 24 decent homes.

For this year, the capital commune, through the Streets for the People Program, will invest 15 million córdobas and will benefit the neighborhoods in District VI: Villa José Benito Escobar, Hugo Chávez, B 15, José Dolores Estrada, La Primavera and Villa Dignity.

The Streets for the People Program begins this week with an advance of 54 percent with 447 blocks completed and in the course of the days this percentage will increase, concluded the Vice Mayor Armas.

For their part, the main families expressed their gratitude to God and to the Good Government of Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo, for fulfilling one of their dreams, to walk through dignified streets.

“With great joy and joy because it is an achievement obtained, thanks to the work team of the Mayor's Office of Managua and the government that has helped us, a blessing because I thought that I was going to go without seeing him, many years and governments passed and not we saw these achievements, until today ”, expressed the protagonist Lourdes Alvarado Guevara.

In the same way, Dona María Velásquez declared "it is a very nice progress, infinitely thanks to God, it is now 40 years, the streets were pure dirt, mud and now the children can play, we are not like before."
