With great excitement, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua delivered on Monday, April 26, 71 homes in the Villa de Santiago Urbanization of District VI, to the same number of families who were relocated in a first stage, due to the Expansion and Modernization of the Track San Juan Pablo II, which runs the Good Government in the Capital.
These homes were delivered by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who said that “they are part of the commitment that our Good Government acquired, in the model of inclusion, dialogue and consensus with families. These are the families that have been relocated as part of the expansion of our John Paul II track and we are happy today to deliver this claim of rights to them, ”he said.
The mayor of the capital announced that the new houses have a construction area of 52 square meters, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a living room, kitchen and dining room, as well as a garden and patio area.
"This urbanization has all the basic services, drinking water, electricity, public lighting, streets and hydraulic concrete platforms," explained Rueda.
Likewise, the Mayor explained that, on this occasion, 71 homes are delivered, but the urbanization will have 300 homes in its final stage.
For their part, the protagonists expressed their gratitude with the delivery of their new homes, as expressed by Doña Amparo Odilí Meléndez, who said she was very happy, for which she thanked Commander Daniel and companion Rosario and stated, “for them we are going to to live in these precious houses, after so many years that I lived in poverty ”.
Likewise, Ms. Carolina Téllez, who for many years lived in precarious conditions in the traffic lights sector of the El Recreo neighborhood, but now has a home in the Villa de Santiago urbanization, “it is a radical change, for me. and all my family, because before I had a humble house and we lived on the banks of a river, we were in danger and now not, my children will be able to run healthy and I will always be very grateful to Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario Murillo, because never I imagined having a house like this and only they could make that dream come true ”.
