Residents of the Socrates Sandino neighborhood celebrate their new streets

The 202l Streets for the People Program continues to improve living conditions for families in the capital, this Friday, April 23, the Municipality inaugurated the asphalt coating of 7 new blocks in the Socrates Sandino neighborhood, directly benefiting 1,692 inhabitants of this community.

This project of the common good had an investment of 2 million 52 thousand córdobas, in addition to these streets, 20 projects of storm drainage, road improvement, water and sanitation will be executed, through the 2021 Annual Investment Plan of District V, with a budgeted amount of 25 million córdobas.

The new streets were inaugurated by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who stated that this road improvement is part of the Good Government's commitment to restore the right to Nicaraguan families.

For their part, the benefited residents were grateful for the paving of their streets, among them, Mr. Juan Pío Ortiz, who moves around in a wheelchair and who said he was happy with the work, because now he will move more easily through the streets of your community.

For this year 2021, the Municipality plans to serve 5 neighborhoods in this area of the capital, with an investment of 16 million córdobas.
