Family affected by fire receives their new home

In immediate and timely attention to families in difficult situations, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated the new home worthy of the protagonist Mayra María Elena Martínez, who, due to a fire caused by a gas tank leak, lost his humble home, located in the Alfredo Silva neighborhood of District II.

The new house was built, through the Dignified Housing Program executed by the Sandinista Government, through the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua with the solidarity support of the sister Republic of China (Taiwan), thus guaranteeing better conditions of life to the neediest families of the Capital city.

The award ceremony was chaired by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales and Mr. Iván Lo, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Taiwan in Nicaragua, who, in a family and community atmosphere, shared the joy of the protagonist family.

"As an Embassy, we are happy to be able to participate in these social projects that have always brought many direct benefits to the people, we continue to work with the municipal work team," said the Minister Counselor of Taiwan.

The Vice Mayor Armas, reiterated the commitment of the Good Government with the capital families, "we are happy, because the protagonist will be calm, she will be able to face the winter with a new home, a new roof, enjoying all security."

For her part, Mrs. Mayra María Elena Martínez, said she felt very happy and grateful to God, to the Good Government and the solidarity of Taiwan, for building her new home, where her 5 children will live together, safely and protected from the arrival of winter.
