Lionesses are crowned women's volleyball champions

In an atmosphere of great excitement, the Lionesses of the Managua Mayor's Office were crowned 2021 First Division Women's Volleyball Champions, after defeating the Real Estelí North Train 3 set, on the night of Saturday, March 27, at the Alexis Sports Center. Argüello.

In a spectacular match where each point was fought from start to finish, the Lionesses of Managua came from behind to overcome the scoreboard with a lot of claw and heart, thus in this way, stay with the long-awaited title of the First Edition of the Volleyball Tournament. Female, being the most valuable player, Lolette Rodríguez, one of the leaders of the capital team.

A tournament that was a great success and that met expectations during these three months, concluded with the crowning of the monarchs of women's volleyball, Leonas of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua.

8 teams participated in this tournament, including Leonas and Real Estelí, champions and runners-up respectively, as well as Panteras de Managua, Frente Sur Rivas, Indigenous people from Matagalpa, Chontales, Carazo and Tiburonas from Granada.

"We are happy to win the championship, Nicaragua won here with the boost they are giving to this sporting discipline, I feel very happy and this trophy is dedicated to the institution of the Mayor of Managua", said Lolette Rodríguez, the best player of the Lioness team tournament.

Comrade Noel González, Sports Director of the Capital Commune said that this championship was successful, a discipline that families supported from beginning to end, "this is just the beginning, we are going for more," he reiterated.
