The discount festival was announced by merchants together with fellow Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua who toured this capital market, as part of the model of citizen power and direct democracy that promotes direct communication with merchants, who are provided with accompaniment. to articulate tasks of the common good and promote economic dynamism with fair and solidarity sales.

The Jonathan González market or Mercadito Periférico, is one of the oldest in the capital, with 57 years of history, it was founded in 1964, in an area that before the 1972 earthquake was the outskirts of the city; Likewise, this municipal market houses 195 fixed sections and 12 temporary ones, directly generating approximately 340 jobs.
