8 years after the transit to the immortality of the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held the Departmental School Swimming Championship on Friday, March 5, at the Michelle Richardson Swimming Pool Complex.
In this swimming tournament that had the motto "Here is Chávez", it had a special guest; His Excellency Ambassador of Venezuela in Nicaragua, José Javier Arrué, accompanied by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales and the Director of Sports of the Commune, Noel González.
More than 300 swimmers from almost 40 education centers in Managua participated in the competition, who competed in different categories, facing everyone against everyone, to get the winner of this championship.
“We are remembering the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez in his role as a great athlete, as a promoter of sport not only in Venezuela, but also throughout the world. We remember Commander Chávez with this departmental swimming competition ”, commented Vice Mayor Armas.
