Improving the living conditions of the capital's families, on the morning of this Tuesday, March 2, comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, visited the José Dolores Estrada neighborhood, where the asphalt coating of almost 4 blocks of streets that were in their natural state; work that is carried out as part of the Streets for the People 2021 Program.
During this supervision visit, comrade Fidel Moreno announced that with this paving, the Streets for the People Program completes 153 new blocks, for an advance of 18.5%; In other words, this program is progressing well, which will allow the completion of the 830 blocks that are planned to be improved this year.
He also explained that in this neighborhood of District VI, the Municipality has executed a little more than 26 million córdobas, in recent years, with which works have been executed that guarantee the well-being of the families of the sector.
He highlighted that this program significantly improves the living conditions of the capital's families, because a paved street reduces the sources of diseases caused by dust storms in summer and ponds in winter; In addition, it improves access to communities for emergency services, police patrols, garbage collection and the entry of selective transport.
Among the projects that have been carried out in this community of District VI, there are road improvement works, reconstruction of the school and the health center, which benefit the 6,500 inhabitants of this capital neighborhood, in which it is also they have built 20 decent houses.
