Managua Council elects Juries of Conscience

On the morning of this first Sunday in February, in the auditorium of the Japanese Park and in compliance with the provisions of Law 232, "Law of Reforms to the Code of Criminal Instruction", in its article number 1; The Honorable Council of Managua elected 100 citizens to serve as jurors of conscience in the First District Criminal Court, corresponding to the year 2021.

These citizens are presented by the councilors of the different benches of the Capital Council, by members of the Supreme Court of Justice and the Public Ministry, to act as jurors of conscience in the trials that are under the Code of Criminal Instruction.

Likewise, the proposed citizens were selected, through the disinsaculation with an electronic raffle, and will serve for one year as jurors of conscience for the First Criminal District Court of Managua; Therefore, the Judicial Power will train them for a better exercise in their functions.

This activity was chaired by colleague Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, Dr. Irma Laguna Cruz, First Criminal District Judge of Managua and colleague Jennifer Porras, Secretary of the Council, who signed the list of the 100 jurors of conscience for this year 2021.
