Boxing Academies start their practices

Following the legacy of the best Nicaraguan boxer of all time, Alexis Argüello, on the afternoon of this Thursday, January 21, the Mayor of Managua launched the boxing classes at the Roger Deshon, Iván Montenegro and Roberto Huembes academies, for the boys and girls who love this sport.

Likewise, in each boxing academy, first-class tools were delivered by the Commune, so that the students do a better job.

“This is what Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario are guaranteeing to all Boxing gyms in Managua. They have been given gloves, masks, jacket, mascot, pear, everything so that they can train as in the best academies in the world, ”said the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas.

Likewise, the former World Champion René “El Gemelo” Alvarado, said that it brings back memories when he trained in the Roberto Huembes Gym, “It comes to mind the time I received these tools from the greatest, Alexis Argüello” .

This year 2021 the three academies; Roger Deshon, Iván Montenegro and Roberto Huembes open their doors from 9 a.m. from Monday to Friday, for the training of new professionals in this discipline, with teachers who were former boxers and who one day named Nicaragua aloft.

Classes at the Roger Deshon Gymnasium academy have the participation of 299 athletes, between the ages of 8 and up and will be able to receive their classes from Monday to Friday with hours from 9 am to 12 noon and from 1:00 pm to 6 p.ml. With quality coaches, such as Gustavo Herrera, Julio Gamboa and Luis González, father of Román “Chocolatito” González.

Similarly, the Iván Montenegro Gymnasium will have the participation of 52 athletes who dream of becoming one day like Alexis Argüello, Román González, Félix and René Alvarado, they will have classes from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 11 am and from 2 pm to 5 pm with coaches Marlon Amador and Javier Nicaragua.

Also, in the Roberto Huembes Gymnasium where world champions such as Félix and René Alvarado, outstanding Nicaraguan athletes, have come out, in this academy they have 200 athletes aged 10 and over who will receive their classes from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12 noon. and from 1:00 pm to 5 pm with coaches Sergio González and Luis Sánchez Pérez.
