Streets for the People Program improves living conditions for families in the 14 de Mayo neighborhood

Committed to continue working for the well-being of the capital's families, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua paved 12 blocks of streets in the 14 de Mayo neighborhood, which were in their natural state, improving the living conditions of 2,000 inhabitants of this community of District V of the capital city.

This project for the common good was inaugurated by the families of this community and the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda, who stated that this work had an investment of 3 million 837 thousand 600 córdobas and is part of the Calles para el Pueblo 2020 program. work comes to create a connectivity between the neighborhoods May 14, May 30 and Los Angeles, and connects directly with District VII ", explained the mayor of the capital.

Likewise, he announced that in recent years, in this community the Good Government has executed 5 significant projects in road improvement, storm drainage and sanitary sewerage, with an investment of more than 25 million cordobas.

Likewise, it was announced that in this year 2021, through the Annual Investment Plan, 25 million córdobas will be invested throughout the District V, with which 20 projects will be executed, of which 5 are major works and 15 works minors; in addition, 16 million córdobas, through the Streets for the People Program in the Francisco Salazar, Pantasma, Grenada, Vista del Xolotlán and Sócrates Sandino neighborhoods.

The population expressed their satisfaction with this work of progress, as expressed by Don Luis Emilio Rivera, thanking the Sandinista government for the project carried out, since his community had a radical change, with the new improvements. "Previously this was precarious, here they could not pass vehicles, or carts with horses, these streets were deteriorated".

Similarly, the resident Darling Sam Emos, with 21 years of living in the community, said that “it was a problem that taxis brought us, because they did not want to enter the neighborhood, because it was a street with holes, dirt, but now it's incredible how beautiful it turned out ”.
