Managua celebrates the birthday of the Prince of Castilian Letters

In celebration of the 154th anniversary of the birth of our universal poet Rubén Darío, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held a cultural evening at the foot of the monument of the Prince of Castilian Letters, located in the Rubén Darío park of the Capital.

The cultural day began with a theatrical presentation called "My Illustrious Teacher", with the aim of making the population aware of the legacy and literary heritage that Rubén Darío left us, through his works.

Comrade Griselda Rivas, Director of Cultural Programs of the Municipality, said that this activity pays tribute to Rubén and his literary heritage, which promotes a culture of peace and patriotism.

This event was developed with theatrical presentations and the musicalization of many of his poems, where several musicians came together to make this event and transfer the literary legacy of our universal poet to the population.

Likewise, comrade Rivas announced that as part of this day, Dariana, there will be a series of presentations, dramatization of short stories by Rubén Darío in the different neighborhoods of the Nicaraguan capital, to bring the literary work of the Father of Modernism to each one of the communities of our city.
