Dariana Day 2021 begins in honor of the Father of Modernism

In homage to the memory and legacy of our distinguished poet Rubén Darío, Prince of Castilian Letters and Prócer of our cultural independence, the Municipality began the 2021 Dariana Day, with the slogan “From Darío to Sandino, a people that wins ”.

This day was opened with a workshop seminar on the passage of the poet Rubén Darío in Central America, an activity that was chaired by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who said that on this 154th anniversary of the birth of our distinguished poet and on the Bicentennial of Central American Independence, the Municipality will carry out activities in homage to the Father of Modernism, through seminars, declamation contests, recitals and artistic presentations.

Likewise, colleague Clemente Guido Martínez, Director of Historical Cultural Heritage of the commune, explained that this day has a full agenda, which began this Wednesday, January 13 and will formally conclude on February 6, time in which his work will be highlighted. and legacy, because "Rubén Darío is practically the bastion of cultural independence, not only of Nicaragua, but of Latin America ... in this sense Rubén Darío is part of the Bicentennial of Central American Independence," he added.

The workshop seminar was given to municipal librarians, strengthening the knowledge of these cultural promoters who serve young people, adolescents and the general public, who go to the libraries, administered by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, located in the 7 districts from the capital city.
