Hundreds of citizens from the capital enjoyed this January 1, 2021, the Alegría y Esperanza Rutas de Victoria Carnival, carried out by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power through the Directorate of Culture, on Avenida de Bolívar a Chávez.
The Carnival had the participation of more than 500 artists including dancers, comparsas, musical groups, folk dances and the circus art brigade of the Mayor's Office of Managua, to receive the New Year 2021 with great joy, peace and tranquility.
“We welcome you with that joy of the Nicaraguan people that is represented through culture, art, dance and circus art. This year will be prosperous, a year framed in the growth of the family in a spiritual way and through good values ”, explained Griselda Rivas, director of Culture of the Municipality.
He added that this joyful activity for families is also carried out in all the municipalities of the country, “because this is the welcome that our Commander Daniel, that Compañera Rosario tells us, that we are going to have a year full of love, a year full of hope, but above all a prosperous year ”, Rivas stressed.
Kenia Mayorga, from the Bans Independent Evolutions troupe, stated that they have prepared over several months to present a medley of rhythms, accompanied by their musical instruments.
For his part, José Ortiz, from the Ticuantepe troupe, pointed out that more than twenty members of the troupe attended this carnival "to give a show of joyful music such as cumbia, merengue and mayo."
