The winners of the "The Cleanest and Most Beautiful Fritanga of Managua 2020" Contest received their prizes with great emotion, a dynamic that the Municipality has been developing for 7 years, through the Directorate of the Environment, with the aim of promoting Nicaraguan gastronomy to through cleanliness and health in these popular Nicaraguan food businesses.
The Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, visited the winning fritters of the contest to present the cash prizes to the owners of these traditional food businesses.
The first place went to the fried "Janixia Grill Todo en Asados" winner of 20 thousand córdobas, which were given to its owner Janixia Ruiz, who was happy with the award received on her birthday, so she celebrated with music of marimba and chicheros, in the company of their clients who came to purchase the delicious dishes offered by this business, located in the Domitila Lugo neighborhood, from the Rolter 5 blocks north, 1 block west.
"Super excited, super happy, double celebration of my birthday, what a thrill," said Ruiz very happy when he received his award.
Norman Perduni, also owner and chef of Asados Janixia Grill expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the gastronomic event. "Thank you very much to the Mayor of Managua for giving us the opportunity to participate for the first time in this contest, in which we put our effort, our determination as always and we left with victory," he added.
The second place was obtained by Asados el Buen Pastor, giving 15 thousand córdobas to its owner Anielka Alvarado, who received the award together with her husband, both entrepreneurs of this business that has been accepted for 3 years in the area of Villa Bulgaria, Colonia. June 9 and Rafaela Herrera.
"I feel happy because this is the result of a great effort, of a whole work team, grateful to all our collaborators because we know that we have given the best of ourselves and a little advice for entrepreneurs, do not limit themselves, this is the result of dreaming big and we know that for this year 2021 we are going for greater things and greater achievements ”, declared Doña Anielka.
Comedor Miriam, located in Altamira and with 45 years of experience, won third place in the contest, which awarded 10,000 cordobas to its owner, Mrs. Miriam Guido.
“I've already won twice, this is second place. God willing, we will continue ”, assured Guido.
For his part, the mayor of the capital Enrique Armas announced that, according to the new regulations of the contest, it allows the winning fritangas of the first three places, to participate the following year, "so that I have no doubt that they will participate this 2021 ”, concluded the Vice Mayor.
