"Streets for the People" Program advances with 88.3 percent of the new road network in the capital

A few weeks before the end of the year, the "Streets for the People" program is 88.3 percent complete, with 651 blocks completed, as reported by the Secretary General, Fidel Moreno, during a tour of the execution of works in the neighborhoods Recreo Norte and Villa Bulgaria, of districts III and VII, respectively.

The “Streets for the People” Program built 4 new blocks of asphalt streets in the Recreo Norte neighborhood, benefiting 3,358 inhabitants. The execution involved an amount of 1,934,370 cordobas.

Likewise, it paved 11 new blocks in the Villa Bulgaria neighborhood benefiting 1,800 inhabitants, the road improvement project has an investment of 1 million 776 thousand 989 córdobas.

Moreno explained that with these streets completed, only 86 blocks would need to be completed to achieve the proposed goal for this year, which are scattered in 13 neighborhoods of the capital, 243 million córdobas were allocated to modernize the capital's road network. .

At the same time, he stressed that the 11 new blocks lined with asphalt in Villa Bulgaria have already been completed and will be inaugurated in the coming days, once the signaling process is complete.

Due to their location, the new streets of the El Recreo neighborhood serve as an alternate route during peak hours.

The “Streets for the People 2020” Program has benefited families from 120 neighborhoods in Managua.
