As part of the promotion of sport in its different disciplines, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua in coordination with the Polytechnic University of Nicaragua developed the first interuniversity indoor volleyball tournament, in which 16 teams participated, from 8 public and private universities. .
This tournament was inaugurated by the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who announced that this tournament is part of an agreement with UPOLI, which has allowed the development of basketball, chess and now indoor volleyball sporting events, and they are already scheduled. 2 beach volleyball and weightlifting tournaments, which will take place next Saturday 28 at Paseo Xolotlán.
Likewise, he expressed that for Good Government the promotion of sport in its different disciplines is a priority, an example of this is the creation of 19 sports academies directed by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, as well as the investment of 70 million dollars in sports infrastructure; that has given positive results in the sports development of the country.
