Reopening of the Children's Baseball Academy in Villa Progreso

The children and adolescents of Villa Progreso this afternoon celebrated the reopening of the Children's Baseball Academy, which the Municipality inaugurated to continue promoting and training new generations in the beautiful sport of Nicaraguans.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the Vice Mayor of Managua Enrique Armas Rosales, who said that the promotion of sport in its different disciplines is a priority for the Municipality, proof of this is that the Commune has formed academies for children's baseball, basketball, volleyball , taekwondo, beach volleyball, swimming and futsal, established in different parks and sports fields of our capital city.

Armas added that the Villa Progreso Academy has been founded for 9 years and has the technical support of the player Róger Marín, to practice baseball with children and adolescents, from Monday to Friday, from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, in the Infant A to Juvenile AA categories.

Coach Jairo Mendoza, showed his enthusiasm with the initiative of the capital authorities to support children to improve in this sport and stated "it is a pride for us instructors to work with children."
