The municipal authorities visited the natural medicine clinic for the elderly, located in Las Madres park, this specialized center opened its doors on September 4, 2018 and treats patients free of charge, from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon.
Since the clinic opened its doors, it serves 600 patients a month, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda explained that in two years, this center specialized in oriental medicine has provided more than 16 thousand consultations and accompanied by their medicines for free.
“We have already completed two years of attending a segment that was in vulnerability, for a long time here we follow up siblings who have different pathologies such as osteoporosis, spinal deformations due to age, patients who have undergone knee surgery. In two years we have treated more than 16 thousand patients totally free, thanks to the will of our government led by Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo ”.
Rueda explained that the medical personnel who work in this center attend between 45 and 50 patients a day, that means that every month the right to free health is restored to 600 residents of Managua.
Among the alternative therapies that are offered and that are applied to patients are: acupuncture, electro acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping therapy, obtaining excellent results.
Dr. Xóchitl Rojas explained that in the case of chronic patients, they are followed up by appointment, all you have to do is present your ID and that you are over 50 years old, but there are cases that are handled as emergencies.
“There are special cases that we handle as a critical social emergency, for example: patients who cannot walk due to operations or spinal problems, once the patient starts his therapy, which lasts one hour, already in the second or third session. he sees the change because the pain is diminishing, ”said Rojas.
Aura Lucrecia Rayo López is a chronic patient and has been attending the clinic for two years.
“God bless our President, our Mayor, the doctors who treat us here. I have been given my therapy for two years and they give me my medicine for free, all of us who come here treat us without charging us a penny, thanks to our president and Compañera Rosario who are always thinking of us, it is the only government that has done ”, said the protagonist.
