Families of the Nueva Libia neighborhood celebrate road network improvement

The Municipal Government gave the inhabitants of the Nueva Libia neighborhood five blocks of fully re-covered streets, the Road Improvement Project was carried out through the 2020 Streets for the People Program. The work had an investment of 923,400 córdobas and benefits 2 one thousand 220 protagonists.

This street was deteriorated due to use and with the restoration of the asphalt layer, the residents of the neighborhood will now have better conditions to attend the “Nueva Libia” health center, since this is the access street used to go to the medical post .

During the inauguration, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda highlighted the effort of both the Local Government and the Central Government, to guarantee the capital's families passable roads and in optimal conditions.

“Today we are celebrating because we share the joy of the community, people were looking forward to this project, because hundreds of brothers pass through here to go to work or to the health center, and this is achieved when the community organizes and goes to the councils, we are only facilitators of these changes made by our government led by Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo ”.

Likewise, the protagonist Narciso Ruiz thanked the authorities of the Good Government for this work that they had been waiting for for years, said that the rain was wreaking havoc on the street and the puddles prevented vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

“We are grateful to the Government and the Mayor's Office because they repaired our street, we had years of waiting and now everyone will go to work faster, cleaner, there will be no mud and those who come to the health center will be able to enter even in taxi, and only Sandinismo achieves that ”.

As we enter the last quarter of the year, the projects of the PIA 2020 Annual Investment Plan for District IV are ending, there are 12 projects that were carried out with an investment of 10 million cordobas, while the Calles para el Pueblo Program in this district invested 15 million more córdobas, benefiting the neighborhoods: Venezuela, Loma de Chico Pelón, Primero de Mayo and Domitila Lugo. At the end of September, the Calles para el Pueblo Program is 55 percent complete, with 417 blocks served.
