Discounts Fair in capital markets energize the economy on national days

At the end of the national holidays, the municipal authorities and the Managua Municipal Market Corporation (COMMEMA) described the sales results as successful, thanks to the discount festival that merchants from the 8 capital markets organized this month in greeting to the September holidays.

This was confirmed by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas, together with the Director General COMMEMA and the administrative manager of the "Jonathán González" market, popularly known as the Peripheral Market, this Friday, September 18, the day that commemorates the 47th anniversary of the transition to the immortality of the hero and martyr of the Revolution Jonathan González.

The memory of González (RIP) was honored with a cultural gala, organized by the merchants who work in this shopping center.

During the tour, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas highlighted the recognition of the people of Nicaragua and the effort of the Central Government and the 22,000 merchants of the 8 capital markets, to keep the markets open during the pandemic caused by Covid-19.

This recognition was made by the FAO authorities, in the fourth virtual meeting where 17 countries that have joined virtually participate, to share experiences and redefine new strategies to reduce negative impacts on the local economy and food security in Latin America.
