Authorities tour neighborhoods affected by strong winds in District II

In the early morning of this Thursday, September 17, authorities from the Managua Citizen's Mayor's Office and family and community cabinets provided immediate attention to families from the Monseñor Lezcano, Reparto España, Batahola Norte and Reparto Miraflores neighborhoods, which were affected by strong winds, which occurred at midnight, causing multiple damage to homes, as well as the fall of trees and power lines.

The activation of the Disaster Attention, Prevention and Mitigation System was immediate and in the preliminary evaluation, comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of Managua, announced that until 2 in the morning there were 72 homes with damages , of which 67 suffered partial damage, 5 collapsed houses, 14 people with minor injuries and 45 fallen trees in 4 neighborhoods of District II of Managua.

He also announced that from the early hours of this Thursday, crews from the Managua Mayor's Office, Firefighters and the National Police were ready to provide care and protection to the affected families.

For their part, the affected families thanked the authorities for their support and immediate attention, and said they felt supported by the prompt attention of the Good Government.
