At the beginning of the month of national pride, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda and the Vice Mayor Enrique Armas, in the company of the councilors, visited the San Jacinto farm house to honor the heroic deed and the memory of the protagonists of the Battle of San Jacinto , on its 164th anniversary of the triumph in the defense of the sovereignty of the country against the invasion orchestrated by William Walker and the filibusters in 1856.
The municipal authorities placed a wreath on the monuments of the heroes who fought for freedom and defended the sovereignty of the homeland with their lives.
“With your chest held high, full of pride to be Nicaraguans”, this is how the national holidays should be celebrated were the words of Mayor Reyna Rueda, to honor with dignity the heroic deed of General José Dolores Estrada, Andrés Castro and the arrowhead Indians of Matagalpa .
Rueda once again highlighted the support of the people for the strategies and programs of the government of Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo, which aim to achieve the independence of the Nicaraguan people.
