More than 300 children will be part of the twelfth Children's Baseball Academy that the Municipality opened in the Nejapa region, the inauguration of the new academy was attended by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas, representatives of professional baseball such as Roger Marín, star pitcher for the Boer Indians; Carlos Berrios de los Dantos and Darrel Walter from the Atlantic Coast and hundreds of residents of Nejapa and Ticomo.
The Deputy Mayor stressed the importance of the promotion of sport by the Central Government, now children from a very early age can reach the national team.
The academy will have two coaches and the practices will be on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon. One of the great advantages of this new academy is that children who live in the Ticomo and Nejapa area will no longer have to travel to District V to train.
