Building authorities supervised on the afternoon of this Thursday, July 9, the Monument of the Peace Bell, a work that carries an advance of the 78%, which is built on the Avenida de Bolívar a Chávez and is part of the effort to remodel and rebuild the Managua's historic center, where in the last 11 years, innumerable investments have been made to guarantee public spaces for recreation and meeting of Nicaraguan families.
Comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, said that this monument consists of a structure almost 20 meters high and inside it will have a bronze bell with 76 quintals of weight and a height of 1.70 meters, which will ring every half hour, from 6:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night.
He also expressed that this monument is a tribute to peace, reconciliation, faith, hope and trust of the Nicaraguan people, which will be inaugurated soon.
