Batahola Sur with better streets

The inhabitants of the Batahola Sur neighborhood paid tribute to the more than 180 young people who were massacred by the National Guard 41 years ago, on June 15, 1979, with the inauguration of 8 new blocks of asphalt streets through the Program “Calles para el Village".

The project has an investment of 2,400,000 córdobas and benefits 7,218 inhabitants.

The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda explained that the "Streets for the People" Program has progressed 47 percent with 358 blocks completed.

The project was carried out on a main street that connects North and South Batahola. At the same time it eliminates a flood point in the neighborhood, every time it rained it flooded several houses in the sector.
