Good Government restores the right to decent housing to the López family

In homeland, peace and the future, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua continues to improve living conditions for families in the capital, through the Dignified Housing Program developed by the Good Government, with the solidarity support of China (Taiwan).

This Wednesday, June 10, the Mayor of the Citizen Power of Managua, Reyna Rueda, together with Mr. Jaime Chin-Mu Wu, Ambassador of China (Taiwan) in Nicaragua, delivered a new decent home in the Alfredo Silva neighborhood of District II, benefiting to the family of Mrs. Socorro Leticia López, who was very happy with the reconstruction of her house, now she said she felt safe and protected, without fear of getting wet from the rains or that her house would fall due to the strong winds.

Mayor Reyna Rueda expressed that this house represents the number 289 that the Good Government builds with the solidarity support of the brother people and government of China (Taiwan), from October 2018 to date; He also stated that in this neighborhood, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power has built 33 decent homes since 2013, guaranteeing better living conditions for the same number of families in the sector.

For his part, the ambassador expressed feeling happy with the results of this program that changes lives and congratulated the efforts of the Municipality, which continues working to guarantee the future of the families of the capital.

In the last 4 years, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua has executed 3 projects to improve roads and storm drainage, transforming the living conditions of the 2,950 inhabitants of this community.

Likewise, in this year 2020, the Municipality invests 8 million córdobas in different neighborhoods of District II through the execution of 4 road improvement projects, 3 mitigation projects and a storm drainage project; in addition to 7 neighborhoods in which new streets are built and rehabilitated, through the "Streets for the People" program.
