This Friday, June 5, Comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of Managua, toured the sectors affected by the rains that have fallen in the last 72 hours, constantly in the capital city.
In this evaluation tour, comrade Fidel Moreno expressed that the rain of the last hours has caused the saturation of the soils and weakens the old infrastructures and trees; Therefore, constant visits and monitoring are being carried out in the 57 critical points in the municipality.
One of the points that were visited was the Eastern channel in the section of the El Edén neighborhood sector, where the detachment of a slope of the channel was recorded, damage that is being addressed immediately; He explained that this problem will be solved with the construction and expansion of the Juan Pablo II track, which includes the storm drainage component.
Likewise, the peripheral cemetery was visited where the removal and reconstruction work of a segment of the southern perimeter wall of this cemetery was verified; During this visit, comrade Fidel Moreno said that constant monitoring of the critical points is being maintained and that the sectors that are affected are being attended to, for which there is a force of 1,200 employees of the Municipality.
