On the morning of this Tuesday, April 28, building authorities from the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua visited the Annex neighborhood of Villa Libertad to supervise the progress of the road improvement project that is being carried out in this community.
This work for the common good consists of paving, with asphalt, 10 new blocks of this community in District VII, guaranteeing the modernization of the road network and improving the living conditions of the families of the capital city, through the Program “Calles for the people".
This project will directly benefit 14,227 inhabitants of the Villa Libertad Annex, with an investment of 4.2 million córdobas, in addition to other road improvement works that have been carried out in recent years in this community, with which they reach 10 million of public investment.
The 2020 “Streets for the People” Program plans to build and improve 737 streets in the capital city, with an advance to date of 268 blocks, at a rate of 30 to 40 blocks per week.
This program that improves the living conditions of families, guaranteeing better access, circulation, as well as the elimination of sources of contamination and diseases, has an investment of 246.5 million córdobas, for the entire municipality of Managua.
