"Streets for the People" program builds a new road corridor between Districts VI and VII

With the program "Streets for the People" 2020, the Municipality began the lining of 8 new blocks with asphalt, in the Gertrudis Arias neighborhood of District VI. This road improvement project forms a new road corridor in the city that joins two districts, as reported by the Secretary General, Fidel Moreno during a tour of the new work that will be carried out for two days.

“We are covering dirt roads with asphalt, we have completed the preparation of bases and sub-bases, we are placing the folder and we hope to finish this project in the next two days, there are 8 blocks that connect the neighborhoods Gertrudis Arias and December 31, the project directly benefits 2 thousand 328 inhabitants, with an investment of 3 million 437 thousand 500 córdobas ”.

Moreno stressed that, once the project is finished, the city will have a new road corridor.

“With this concluded, we would have a new corridor that will connect us to the Larreynaga Track and the Sabana Grande Track, improving the living conditions of the families that live in the surroundings. In addition, the corridor will allow us a more agile circulation, the "Streets for the People" program has a good progress of 246 blocks completed out of 737 planned for this year ".

With these eight new paving streets "we will be completing 28 new blocks in both neighborhoods, with a collective investment in recent years that exceeds 40 million córdobas", confirmed Moreno.

With these lined streets, respiratory problems will be avoided in the population, because there will be less dust and less mud, improving the public health of the sector and there will be a better, more agile garbage collection service.
