Streets for the people is 25 percent complete

The 2020 “Streets for the People” Program, two months after it started, has progressed 25 percent and has implemented its three modalities in all districts of the capital, as confirmed by the Secretary General, Fidel Moreno, at the beginning of the street repairs in the Edgard Lang neighborhood with the re-pegging mode.

“With this re-inspection we are beginning to repair the streets that the damaged base has here in Edgard Lang and at the Managua level, with this modality, we are going to serve 72 blocks, of these, 49 are located in District II, we are prioritizing the neighborhoods and tracks that serve as interconnections ”.

Moreno explained that the program that serves the capital's road network is progressing satisfactorily and that the Commune makes the most of it, to advance as much as possible before the arrival of winter.

“We have 158 blocks completed in all modalities (asphalt, reworking, double treatment) that represents 25 percent progress, it should be noted that we are simultaneously executing 11 projects in the different districts to make the most of the summer season and move on before winter comes ”.

He detailed some of the neighborhoods where they are currently working: El Ayapal in District III, Edgard Lang in District II and El Recreo in District III.

The Municipality will also serve 213 blocks of the road network with the patch plan and 79 blocks in the neighborhoods with the double treatment technique, plus the construction of 6 vehicular bridges in San Judas, Carlos Núñez, El Arroyo, Pochocuape and Andrés Castro.

In the last 10 years the "Streets for the People" program has revitalized 10,000 blocks and this year the scope will be historic because in addition to "Streets for the People" are the road projects that will be carried out through the Annual Investment Plan of the 2020.
