Comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, said that this presentation is part of the day in which tribute is paid to women and above all, those women who have marked part of our national history.
Likewise, she highlighted the leading role that Nicaraguan women now exercise in all spaces, as part of the gender equality that Good Government has promoted and developed; This achievement is reflected in the indices that place Nicaragua in the fifth country in the world with the highest participation of women.
Comrade Clemente Guido Martínez, Director of Municipal Historical Heritage, said that this magazine is dedicated to the role of women in the Army Defender of National Sovereignty, from 1927 to 1933; among them, Teresa Villatoro, Head of the Chipote Camp and the Women's Camp in the entire Guerrilla; Conchita Alday, wife of Francisco Cabuya with whom she was assassinated by the US Marines in Chinandega; and María de Altamirano, wife of General Pedro Altamirano; as well as the trade unionist Bertha Munguía from Leon.
