In greeting to the 168th anniversary that Managua was elevated to the Capital of the Republic, a concert was held, where songs alluding to Managua were performed, using shadow theater techniques, in a harmony of art, in which the artists presented themselves interacting with the rhythm of the electro chill genre; Likewise, there was an exhibition of photographs of urban Managua, highlighting the beauty of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park, the overpasses, as well as the daily life in the streets and bus stations of Managua.
The event was inaugurated and chaired by the Mayor of the Citizen Power, Reyna Rueda Alvarado and the Vice Mayor Enrique Armas; where the commitment of the Good Government was expressed in promoting culture in its different genres to guarantee the art and education of the capital's families.
In the same way, the Mayor of the Citizen Power stated that this month, in which the 168th anniversary of Managua being elevated to the Capital of the Republic is celebrated, there will also be days of commemoration of the passage to the immortality of two outstanding Nicaraguans, such as ours. distinguished poet Rubén Darío, as well as our national hero and General of Free Men and Women Augusto C. Sandino.
In this concert, artists in muralism and theater of the Leonel Rugama Cultural Movement were presented, as well as the musical performances of the group Martinica producciones; where the development and transformations in infrastructure and in the social sphere that the Nicaraguan capital has been acquiring in the last 10 years of Good Government were expressed.
