Committed to promoting the sport and improving the pool of new athletes, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua created the Taekwondo Academy of the capital city, for children, youth and adolescents, who can learn, practice and develop in this sport of free form.
The Taekwondo academy was inaugurated by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of the Citizen Power of Managua, who announced that the classes will be taught at the Alexis Argüello Sports Center, from Monday to Friday from 2:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the afternoon.
Likewise, he announced that registrations are open for parents to register, totally free, their children from 4 years of age; this as part of the support for sports and family recreation provided by the Good Government.
He also announced that in the next few days the karate academy will be inaugurated, so that they form part of the different sports academies directed by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua.
For his part, Salvador Zavala, President of the Nicaraguan Federation of Taekwondo highlighted the importance of this academy, for the training of new athletes in this sporting discipline.
