As part of promoting the development of sport in the new generations, the Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua organized a friendly match of children's baseball, between the U-12 teams of Managua, Boaco, Granada and the Centauro team from San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
This sports tournament began this Thursday, January 30, at the Children's Baseball Stadium of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park, where the small balls of the 4 participating teams imposed a wreath on the Roberto Clemente monument.
The games will be held this Thursday and Friday afternoon at the Roberto Clemente stadium in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park and on Saturday, February 1 at the Multipurpose Stadium in the city of Granada.
The opening game was attended by the Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas Rosales, who welcomed the children and parents of the Honduran team on behalf of the Good Government.
For his part, Mr. Rolando Rodríguez, coach of the Centauro team, was happy with the participation of his team in this friendly match, in which they will put all their effort, he said; He also congratulated the Good Government for all the sports infrastructure that it has built and enabled, which contributes to the integral development of the country's children and youth.
