Committed to promoting sports and guaranteeing healthy recreation for families in the capital, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua reopened the Basketball Academy for boys, girls, youth and adolescents between 6 and 16 years of age.
The activity was chaired by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who highlighted the multiple efforts made by the Good Government to promote sport in its different disciplines, through which significant achievements have been made in sports development and the growing seedbed of new athletes and the strengthening of the fact that they already represent us and have won medals for Nicaragua in international events.
Likewise, he invited parents to register their sons and daughters in the Basketball Academy of the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua, which is totally free and they train on the fields of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park and the sports complex Hugo Chávez Frías, from the 14 de Septiembre neighborhood, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.
Likewise, he reported that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, training is offered on the courts of the colonial El Dorado sports complex, where the only requirements are to comply with the training sessions and be punctual in the schedules.
The faculty of the basketball academy is made up of 8 coaches with great sports experience, including Noel Mackenzie, Alvin Camacho, Katia Contreras and the Puerto Rican Luis Morales, who with their knowledge will contribute to strengthening the new seedbed of athletes and developing national basketball.
