Three days after the La Purísima festivities, the Periférico market continues to offer the traditional products of La Gritería at affordable prices, thanks to the discount fair that merchants promote in all perishables, basic basket products and toys.
In a tour of the facilities of this market that was founded in 1964 and has 142 fixed sections, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas explained that the prices are within the reach of the capital's pocket.
"This market is one of those that offers good prices in everything that is bananas, sugarcane, lemons, chicken meat and pork, they are very favorable and the cheese is not even said, the sweet lemons, they are at 4 for 10 córdobas, the bag of cane is 5 córdobas, you have to take advantage and also buy toys, because they have good prices, per dozen and per unit ”, reported the Vice Mayor.
Cindy Regidor, Peripheral Market Manager, explained that this Christmas season, improvements are being made to the market facilities for the safety of merchants and consumers.
“Throughout December, we will be attending from 6:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon or until the last visitors leave, we are installing new gates, we are improving the roof, here we have 142 fixed sections and 152 sections eventual, at Christmas time and as the market is being more visited, we are evacuating daily from 10 to 12 barrels of garbage ”, explained Regidor.
Doña María Estela Cabrera has been selling in this market for 30 years and explained that the discount fair benefits both merchants and buyers.
“We continue to keep prices low so that people buy more, if they buy more we move more products, and we invite them to come and celebrate La Purísima with us this Friday, December 6, we have years of having this tradition and we celebrate it with everyone those who come ”.
