In love for our mother earth, the Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua with the support of the Dutch government, implemented an aeration and bio-stimulation system in the Tiscapa lagoon, which will help the oxygenation of this body. of water, which is located in the center of the Nicaraguan capital.
This aeration system was implemented in Tiscapa with the source that contributed to oxygenation in a depth of 30 centimeters and with this new aerator, up to 700 centimeters will be reached, so it is expected to have results in the next 4 months, which will be monitored by the Aquatic Resources Research Center (CIRA) of UNAN Managua.
This new aerator had an investment of 459 thousand 540 dollars, of which 433 thousand 290 were donated by the Dutch people and government and 26 thousand 250 by the Municipality.
In addition to the start-up of this water oxygenation system, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua delivered 14 environmental bonds, of 8 Thousand Córdobas for the purchase and execution of environmental works, to the same number of agricultural producers in the San region Isidro Libertador located in the upper area of the municipality, with which reforestation works, water harvesting and sediment retention will be developed, to avoid being dragged by the forces of the currents that discharge in Tiscapa or Lake Xolotlán.
