In commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of the passing to immortality of the Commander-in-Chief of the Sandinista Popular Revolution Carlos Fonseca Amador and as part of the promotion and development of sport in young people and adolescents, a race was held this Sunday morning, November 10. athletics on Avenida de Bolívar to Chávez.
This event was organized by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and the Directorate of Youth Affairs of the National Police, in which young people and adolescents at risk from the 7 Districts of the capital and Ciudad Sandino participated.
The sports event was attended by Chief Commissioner Janina Robleto, Head of the Directorate of Youth Affairs of the National Police of Managua, who said that the call was made with young people and adolescents from the neighborhoods where this care program is working.
Comrade Noel González, Sports Director of the Capital Commune, said that an estimated 300 young people and adolescents participated in this race, who traveled a one-kilometer stretch on Avenida de Bolívar to Chávez; He also highlighted the importance of promoting and involving youth in the practice of sport in its different disciplines, which helps their integral development.
The first places in this race were awarded in women by the young Ashly Martínez from District 2, in first place, Alexandra Ramírez from Ciudad Sandino obtained second place and Juana Urbina from District 3 reached third place.
In masculine the young Aarón Guadamuz from District 7, was the winner of the first place; Gabriel Alvarado from District 2, achieved second place and third was obtained by Osmán Gutiérrez from District 5.
