With a swimming tournament never seen before in the history of our country due to the large participation of national athletes, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and the Nicaraguan Swimming Federation celebrated the first anniversary of the Michele Richardson Academy.
The Vice Mayor Enrique Armas inaugurated this sporting event, which was held at the Michele Richardson Swimming Pool complex, built by the Good Government in 2017, where the swimming academy was enabled, which to date has 600 students, of which , the 57 most outstanding participated in this tournament.
Comrade Armas Rosales highlighted the importance of having this sports infrastructure for the development of this sport; Proof of this is the impressive tournament seen for the first time in the history of Nicaraguan swimming, in which 15 swimming schools with 262 swimmers participated in 6 categories, from infant to juvenile, strengthening the new hotbed of Nicaraguan athletes.
He also expressed that this tournament is part of the promotion and support that Good Government provides to sport in its different disciplines.
He also pointed out that in the next 4 years, the Good Government will invest 2.3 billion Córdobas in the construction of new sports infrastructures, for the development of sports in our country.
