From the early hours of this November 2, the citizens of the capital began to visit the Oriental cemetery to place flowers and honor their relatives.
In this Cemetery a mass was celebrated in honor of the Saints Deceased, which was presided over by Bishop Emeritus Bernardo Hombach, Father Antonio Castro and the parish priest of the area Bismarck Carballo who thanked the Mayor of Managua for the support provided to the realization of the Holy Eucharist.
Comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, was present at this mass, who announced that the Municipality was prepared to serve more than half a million people who will visit their relatives. He explained that cleaning and maintenance work began in this Cemetery six weeks ago.
Likewise, comrade Armas Rosales visited and imposed floral offerings on the graves of Commander Eduardo Contreras, Domitila Lugo, and the Heroes and Martyrs of San José de las Mulas.
This cemetery was founded in 1959 and has an area of 16 blocks that house 27 thousand lots and approximately more than 100 thousand people buried.
