With the joy of living in peace, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated the II “Victorious Mothers” women's softball championship.
This championship has the participation of 12 teams from the capital city and one from the municipality of Masaya; It is important to note that in the first tournament held last month, 6 teams participated and now the number of players has doubled, as a result of the support and promotion of the sport.
The women's softball tournament will take place over a period of 2 months, in the Roberto Clemente stadiums of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park, Hugo Chávez de la Colonia 14 de Septiembre and in Masaya.
The teams that will compete for the first place trophy are: Novatas de Masaya, Gigantes de Pochocuape, Falcones de Pochocuape, Hermanas de Pochocuape, Panteras Forcom, Chicas Clementes, Fénix Poderosas, Águilas de Pochocuape, Amigas ALMA, as well as, the Fieras, the Warriors and the Powerful of September 14th.
At the inauguration of this second championship, the female softball player and member of the national team Xiomara López Aburto was decorated with a medal of recognition, who highlighted the support that Good Government provides to sport, which can be seen in the modern sports facilities, as well as the incorporation of women in these sports disciplines.
