In love for Nicaragua and in protection of our mother earth, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua carried out a cleaning day in the Laguna de Tiscapa.
This day consisted of the evacuation of solid waste from the drainage that flows into this aquifer, after the torrential rains in recent days.
The cleaning day that was carried out in this lagoon that is located in the center of the capital city, had the participation of 25 young volunteers from the Directorate of Environment of the Mayor's Office of Managua and 15 workers from the Directorate of Ornament of the Municipality .
With this cleaning in the water mirror and trails of the lagoon, approximately 35 cubic meters of solid waste were evacuated throughout the work day.
The young people and workers expressed their satisfaction for having fulfilled this work of the common good and urged the citizens, to deposit the garbage in its place and not to throw it in the streets, drains and channels, to contribute to the care of our environment, such as part of their shared social responsibility.
