In order to rescue and preserve the historical and cultural memory of our capital, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua gave an economic contribution to the character of the Chief Cacique Mayor of the capital festivals in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
Comrade Reyna Rueda, Mayor of the Citizen Power of Managua, visited Don Oscar José Ruiz Rivera, who plays the character of the Cacique Mayor, in his house to give him financial support.
For his part, Mr. Oscar Ruiz Rivera expressed his gratitude to the building authorities and said that this contribution will be used for the lining of the plume and clothing, as well as for the costs of transportation and the musicians who accompany him.
Don Oscar Ruiz Rivera, was born in Managua in 1945 and began his tradition in 1965 with the character of the Indio Salvaje and in 1970 he was named as Chief Chief of the capital festivals in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán.
