This July 17, in celebration of the National Day of Happiness, the first 75 houses of the Monte Nebo social interest residential were pre-delivered, with this first delivery the first phase of the project consisting of 358 homes was inaugurated.
The housing project carried out by the New Century development is the result of the will of the Central Government, private investors, Pro Nicaragua, the Mayor's Office of Managua and Fosovi.
In the first stage of this development, 358 new low-income homes will be built, which will have a value of $ 10,500 with a monthly fee of $ 60, enjoying the benefit of the $ 2,000 bond granted by the Nicaraguan Institute of Urban Housing. and Rural (Invur), as well as a 25-year fixed rate financing.
During the inauguration, the announcement was made that the Monte Nebo urbanization will grow in stages, building 3,000 homes per year.
During the inauguration, Vice Mayor Enrique Armas highlighted the speed with which the first houses were built.
“Since the announcement was made on January 24 of this housing project, only 5 months and three weeks have passed, and today the beneficiary protagonists are already receiving their houses, this morning that all Nicaraguans celebrate the Day of Happiness, what better news, that Monte Nebo will build 3000 houses per year, congratulations to all the brothers who worked in the construction of these houses ”, said Armas.
Alex de la Cruz, executive president of New Century highlighted the effort of the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity in conjunction with New Century, el Fosovi, ProNicaragua, Invur and the Mayor's Office of Managua, to make the dreams of many come true Nicaraguan families.
“This alliance was created to respond to the country's housing demand and the project was so popular, so successful that in 8 hours the first day the project had been sold, we did the pilot project here in Managua, now we are going to do it at Nacional level. Monte Nebo will be a national program that will build 3,000 homes annually with the help of INVUR, the Mayor's Offices, this new project will have different financial proposals to access credit ”.
Kenia de los Ángeles Gúnera Soza, is one of the beneficiaries of the project, has 4 children and had been renting for more than 10 years.
“I feel happy, happy, because my children will finally have a home of their own, I work at the university paying 180 dollars a month for many years, thanks to our Government that if it fulfills what it promises today we have something of our own with a quota of 60 dollars a month, ”said Gúnera.
