In commemoration of World Tree Day, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua delivered fruit and forest plants to 15 producers in the San Isidro Libertador region of District 3.
The activity was chaired by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Mayor of the Citizen Power of Managua, who explained that this is one of the tasks carried out by the Municipality in the conservation and protection of our environment.
Likewise, he explained that the capital Commune works with 99 producers from the 8 regions that the municipality has and in the San Isidro Libertador region, 41 fruit and forest trees were delivered to each of the 15 producers, with the aim of promoting conservation and protection of our natural resources.
In addition to reforestation, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua conducts training for producers to promote and implement environmental actions, such as water harvesting, the installation of living fences and environmental techniques.
For their part, the producers in the area were happy with the environmental bonus delivered and expressed their commitment to the care and protection of our mother earth.
