With the aim of conserving our historical, cultural and national identity, as well as strengthening knowledge and research; the National University of Engineering (UNI) donated a digital file, with three-dimensional photographs of the Acahualinca footprints.
The digital file was delivered to the Municipality, by Eng. Jairo Paramo, Director of University Extension of UNI, who stated that this donation consisted of an information base, with 3 thousand 715 photographs with the 1 thousand 87 footprints of Acahualinca, 115 plans and 43 quadrants, which will make it possible to identify all the technical elements, to contribute to the strengthening of the study, conservation, restoration and remodeling processes.
For his part, comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, thanked the National University of Engineering for the valuable contribution providing, with the virtual documentation of the Footprints of Acahualinca, which is important support for the museum that will be improved and rebuilt together with the surrounding area.
The delivery of the digital documentation was carried out with the presence of representatives of Central American public universities that are celebrating the Twenty-eighth Assembly of the Central American University and Society Integration System (SICAUS).
